Update on the ICSS prior permission regime

PhonepayPlus has decided to suspend its ICSS prior permissions regime pending the resolution of a legal challenge. This means that providers of ICSS will not at this time be required to obtain prior permission in order to operate these services.

However, we remain committed to ensuring that ICSS do not mislead consumers and therefore remind providers of these services that they have a continuing obligation to ensure that their services are compliant with the Code of Practice, failing which we may take enforcement action.
