PhonepayPlus publishes Guidance consultation

16 February 2016

We are undertaking a public consultation on five pieces of Guidance that have been amended or developed afresh. We are seeking to offer clear and accessible Guidance to PRS providers and other stakeholders, and we keep our Guidance under regular review. The consultation runs until 11 April 2016.

The consultation comes after a widespread review into current Guidance. The Guidance Development Project considered each piece of Guidance and whether it required amendment. Scoping activities during the review included close dialogue with industry representatives to test our own analysis.

The five pieces of Guidance that have been amended or developed afresh relate to:

The Guidance Development Consultation document can be found here

We have also published a summary assessment of all Guidance, introduced within the consultation paper itself and set out in an annex.

Guidance on addressing vulnerability was considered as part of the review. Following initial consultation with industry and other stakeholders we have decided to consult separately on this issue. We intend to consult industry formally with our proposals on vulnerability in spring 2016.

PhonepayPlus invites all stakeholders to consider the proposed Guidance and welcomes feedback on our general approach to the development of Guidance.
