PhoneBrain 2015 Competition now open

02 February 2015

This year we have partnered with Childnet to deliver our annual PhoneBrain competition which helps young people understand the costs involved using a mobile device

Childnet Film Competition 2015This year we have partnered with Childnet to deliver our annual PhoneBrain competition which helps young people understand the costs involved using a mobile device, using premium rate numbers to make calls, send texts, vote for a celebrity or buy apps from stores directly onto your phonebill.

Who can enter and how
This year, with the help of Childnet, we are asking young people between the ages of 11-18 to get creative and produce a short 2 minute film to inform people about ways you can use your phone to pay for and use services safely without running up high bills.

Prizes and screening at BFI Southbank in London
The makers of the shortlisted films will be invited to a private screening at London’s British Film Institute where they will be awarded great prizes for their creative achievements.

Do you have what it takes?
We are looking for creative and imaginative films informing other young people about how to avoid “bill shock”, “app traps” and premium rate services which can unwittingly lead to high bills and loss of credit.

For more information about resources and requirements to enter the competition please visit the Childnet film competition page, the PhoneBrain category. Get your entry ready and Good luck!
