PhonepayPlus Registration Scheme March Update
PhonepayPlus, the premium rate services (PRS) regulator, today issued a third update on development of the industry-wide Registration Scheme. We plan to open the Scheme with a ‘pre-registration’ phase, planned for April. The Scheme sits alongside the new PhonepayPlus Code of Practice which will be published on 30 March.
The update aims to answer the majority of questions that stakeholders might have about progress on delivering the Registration Scheme, including when the new Code and Scheme will come into force, which PRS providers need to register and which providers are exempt, and details on the cost and process of registration.
