Ian Walden appointed as a legal chair of the Code Adjudication Panel
The Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA) today appoints Ian Walden as a legal chair of the Code Adjudication Panel (CAP).
The Code Adjudication Panel hears and adjudicates on cases against companies the PSA suspects to be in breach of the Code of Practice and is independent of the PSA executive.
Ian previously sat as one of the lay members of the CAP and joins the other legally qualified members, Julian Weinberg, Linda Lee and Panel Chair, Mohammed Khamisa QC.
Ian is a solicitor and is Of Counsel to Baker McKenzie and is Professor of Information and Communications Law in the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London. He was previously a board member and trustee of the Internet Watch Foundation, and a member of the Press Complaints Commission.
