Statement on updating our Registration requirements for service providers

After extensive consultation, we’re updating our Registration requirements for providers operating in the phone-paid service market.
Registration was introduced seven years ago and has not been updated since. In that time, the phone-paid service market has evolved considerably.
PSA has explored with industry what information should now be required under Registration. We sought to balance improving our ability to deliver our mission alongside the impact on service providers, and have accordingly made changes to our proposed requirements.
Service providers will be required to supply additional, timely and accurate information about themselves (as an organisation) and their services, but which we believe is reasonable and manageable to deliver.
