Subscriptions call for inputs
The PSA is reviewing its regulation of phone-paid services offered on a subscription basis and has issued a Call for Inputs.
Phone-paid subscriptions is an area which has the potential for significant innovation and growth, but which currently generates high levels of complaints to the PSA.
We are reviewing our regulation to make sure it both protects consumers but is flexible enough to ensure that services that consumers want can operate on a phone-paid subscription model without regulation getting in the way of growth.
We are interested in hearing your views. We are also conducting research which, together with the responses to this Call for Inputs, will inform proposals from PSA which we expect to consult on around the end of 2018/beginning of 2019.
The call for inputs ends Monday 15 October, 2018.
