New appointments to the PSA Code Adjudication Panel

19 August 2020

The Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA) has appointed Alison Sansome and Desiree Artesi to the Code Adjudication Panel (CAP). The CAP hears and adjudicates on cases against companies the PSA suspects to be in breach of the Code of Practice and is independent of the PSA executive.

Ali has Board, Committee and Tribunal experience in a range of sectors including health, defence, justice, emergency services and information technology. She has a number of current posts including Vice Chair of the Fire Standards Board, Lay member and Panel chair of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, NED on the Office of the Public Guardian, and Lay member on the Employment Tribunal. Previously, Ali was the COO of the Nursing and Midwifery Council and prior to that worked at Hewlett Packard as a senior delivery director.

Desiree Artesi is a practising barrister at Thomas More Chambers with a focus on Judicial Review,  Privy Council work, and Regulatory Law.  She is a Bencher, a position akin to a Trustee, of the Honourable Society of Inner Temple, and NED of the Editorial Board for Counsel Magazine, and has sat on the Bar Standards Board Professional Conduct Committee.

Ali and Desiree will join in September and replace Elisabeth Ribbans who is standing down from the CAP after seven years’ service.
