PSA consults on new Code of Practice, Code 15

08 April 2021

Review of Code of Practice is the most comprehensive in more than a decade.

The Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA) is today publishing a consultation on a new Code of Practice (Code 15).

The proposed Code intends to introduce standards in place of outcomes, focus on the prevention of harm, be simpler and easier to comply with and be underpinned by effective and efficient enforcement.

The consultation document sets out the context to the draft Code of Practice and seeks feedback and comments from consumers, industry and other stakeholders.

The Code 15 consultation document is here and the draft Code is here. The PSA will be formally consulting on it until 5 July 2021 – the PSA welcomes all views and will carefully consider all responses and other input it receives.

You can read more about the consultation document on the consultations section of the PSA website and in this new blog from the PSA’s CEO, Jo Prowse

The PSA will be hosting a Code 15 forum on 28 April, to give you an opportunity to hear more and share some initial thoughts. You can find out more details about this event here. Further stakeholder events are planned during the consultation period.
