14th Code of Practice, Part 4 Seminar
The Part 4 review is now complete, and in taking forward its recommendations we are consulting on the new proposed 14th edition of the Code. As part of our consultation and continuing engagement with industry we would like to invite you to a seminar to discuss the draft Code and consultation questions.
In addition to looking at and making recommendations around Part 4 of the Code, the review also looked at PhonepayPlus’ “Investigations and Sanctions Procedures” (I&SP) which whilst not part of the Code serves to support the enforcement process. We are intending to publish the new draft Enforcement Procedures in the New Year. We plan to provide an overview of the draft Enforcement Procedures at the seminar.

Background
PhonepayPlus launched a consultation on its 14th edition of the Code of Practice following a review of Part 4 of the Code on 23 November 2015.
Part 4 is the area of the Code which sets out the procedures PhonepayPlus uses when investigating, adjudicating and where appropriate imposing sanctions in response to allegations of consumer harm. Part 4 also currently sets out procedures for appeals following any adjudication.
PhonepayPlus launched the 13th edition of our Code of Practice in July 2015. However during the run up to this launch, in March 2015, we announced that we would be further reviewing Part 4 - in particular the investigations, adjudications and appeals procedures contained within it.
